American Express - Code Blue Contest

SmartAdmission from Teleteach was awarded third prize in the international CodeBlue Contest 2001 of American Express, Sun Microsystems and Oberthur Card Systems.

With SmartAdmission, a SmartCard and a CardReader, the user can book events, e. g. trainings or online seminars through a web browser.

By storing the access information encrypted on the chip card, SmartAdmission can provide more secure access control than other technologies.

The online ticket is directly transferred to the SmartCard, from which it is retrieved later. You can store as many tickets as you like on a single card, which can be used for single or repeated events, e. g., a series of seminars. Furthermore, ticket validity can be restricted to well defined time frames (e. g. access for one month, access on Friday afternoons and so on).
